Laced with the character of soft baby’s breath, burlap, twine and all things antique, Kyle and Autumn shared their wedding vows under the soft lit Barnacopia lights. Everything about their day was hospitable at it’s best with candy, popcorn, and refreshments available prior to the reception, pool, ping-pong, a movie, chess, and lots of rustic antique displays for viewing!
The weather was unpredictable with the spitting of rain, wind and clouds throughout most of the daytime. Evening came around and allowed our wedding party with the bride and groom to venture out for some beautiful nature backdrops. We used the red barn to block the wind and then headed towards the sunlit willow tree with the couple.
While I loved their details, meeting their wonderful families, and enjoying the celebration, my favorite part of the day was indeed the ceremony and sharing of their vows. Watching how these two interacted that day in honoring and glorifying God was a blessing. I am so excited to watch them grow in their faith and roles as husband and wife with God at their center. A big thank you to these two for letting me take part in their special day!

In less than one week we will be celebrating the marriage of Mr. & Mrs. Kyle and Autumn Baltierra. We were finally blessed with nicer spring weather and while nature wasn’t quite in bloom yet we still had a great time!
One thing to know about these two is that they LOVE date nights at the movie theater! This made our first stop the Lindo Theatre where we had a bit of fun and of course some great popcorn.
Close to the theatre is one of my favorite stops and often a forgotten beauty of Freeport, IL – the historic Raleigh Company. These brick buildings offer an array of rustic backdrops, remnants of brick pavement, train tracks, and river nearby.
Our last stop was the popular Krape Park which gave us a beautifully lit water backdrop with rock walls and golden light. I am excited to start this wedding season with a spring celebration for Autumn & Kyle! Wishing them all the best.
Coming soon โฆ

It was the golden hour. Sunlit evergreens covered with patches of snow in the crisp cool air. Deer starting to peer out from the woods. The sound of quiet woods with occasional squirrels chattering and birds chirping. This is my place of peace! The countryside will always have my heart and true home.
I was so glad that Kiley & Josh choseย Dollinger Christmas Tree Farm for their engagment session. This beauty is set in the heart of Lake Carroll, IL amidst the forest and hills that Northwest Illinois has to offer. Kiley and Josh brought their sweet girl who I just ADORE! Brown eyes, red hair and such innocence! Kiley and Josh are just as sweet with an exciting wedding day celebration coming this July! Keep scrolling to see one of my favorite sessions from 2018 – the colors are stunning and so is the couple! โค

A perfect way to end the 2018 photography year was to spend the afternoon at Vilas Park with these two amazing people! Abbea and Parker were a ray sunshine on a dark, cloudy winter day. We knew there was forecast for “variable” precipitation, but we didn’t know it would literally happen across the board! It was incredibly cold and wet with sleet, flurries, rain, mist and wind. But they braved through it all for their engagement session.
I will be honest – I am somewhat hesitant to know what reactions I will get with my couples when it comes to bad weather, but these two were so relaxed and fun! Throughout the entire session Abbea was so excited for her photos in her smile โฆ and Parker was incredibly patient and loving in the midst of a really yucky day! The love these two share and the way they blended during their engagement session is a small foreshadow to an amazing wedding day ahead.
I am so excited to share in their day and can’t wait to celebrate them in October 2019! Take a peak below to see these beauties.
