It’s been quite a while since I have posted on my website – or social media pages! Don’t worry … things are still happening behind the scenes here at CRP. But today I wanted to share our sweet boy who is celebrating his 4th birthday and a glimpse into his day – playing with his helicopter, diggers and dump trucks … and occasionally digging for gold 🙂
If you’d like to hear a little bit about what’s going on at CRP – keep reading – or scroll down for photos!
Hello, hello! There are so many things I want to implement in my business to better serve my clients this year … and that meant taking a really good pause – to take a step back and regroup. I needed to give myself room to breath – to find time for where the Lord is directing me and my role in the family. In these moments of rest we tend to find ourselves again.
A few summers ago I participated in a bible study that discussed practicing the sabbath – when we take a day of rest. The Lord put profound importance on resting, and that is something I’ve been putting into practice in our days, weeks and months. Not just for myself, but for the family as well. Prioritizing what is most important and our purpose here is really where I wanted the foundations of our family to thrive. Even if I can’t control the fast pace of the world around me, I can help guide where our time is invested as a family – which includes evaluating how I spend my time as a wife, mother, homemaker, homeschooler, and self-employed mommy!
I’ll be sharing more in coming weeks about some changes I am implementing behind the scenes so I can serve my clients and my family better! But not today … enjoy some small moments from my everyday life! 🙂

Finding quaint little gems for family sessions can be so exciting and rewarding! There is a small village just south of Madison with exactly that. The Schoolhouse in Paoli, Wisconsin features a small garden with beautiful plants and backdrops for any evening session. The Sugar River sits just across the street along with several small shops for curving ones appetite. I love all the feels of this session, and I’m so glad the Havens family chose this location for their summer portraits!

The last wedding of the 2019 season was extra sentimental for me! Abbea was my second shooter and assistant for most of the season and also a wonderful photographer friend! It POURED rain and was a bit chilly, but their was joy resonating in the eyes of these two the entire day. The celebration continued on with family and friends. What a beautiful day for Mr. and Mrs. Havens! Thank you for being incredibly genuine, kind, and joyful. You make my heart smile!

An intimate ceremony with well thought out details and hospitality! Cassy and Trevor hosted a morning ceremony with a brunch celebration all at the ease of their church home, Blackhawk EFC. Natural, elegant and classy! We braved some wet weather to capture a few photos and headed back inside to enjoy a yummy brunch put together by Yola’s Café! It was so nice to meet their family and friends who were kind, gracious and very excited to celebrate these two! Congrats Cassy and Trevor!

It was a beautiful golden evening at the John Wall Family Pavilion in Tenney Park just off the shores of Lake Mendota in Madison, WI. The couple was surrounded by family and friends as they shared their vows and went into a casual evening of dinner, music, and mingling! I am so excited to be able to share a part of their evening. It was a privelage to celebrate my dear friend Tracie who is the sweetest inside and out! What an honor to be with them, meet their families, and bless them along their journey. Best wishes to these two!

If you met this couple, you would know how genuine they are! There is no mystery that these two are incredibly kind, generous, joyful and lovable! Their smiles and laughter throughout the wedding day were contagious under the beautifully canopied ceremony with soft lit trees. The Swan Barn Door was a perfect location for them and their love for the outdoors. This venue is located close to the downtown area of Wisconsin Dells nestled just on the edge of the countryside.
I am excited to share with you Mr. & Mrs. Pulvermacher! What a wonderful and joyous day!
Take a look at these other beautiful couples!

Nothing but quiet peaceful countryside as we arrived at this couples venue. The Barn at Windy Pine is placed in the soft hills of Wisconsin just northeast of Madison. There was not a sound of the busy city life, just the quiet stillness of mother nature. This set the tone for their entire wedding day.
Rustic barn hues mixed with blues and accented with mid-golden tones – this was the beautifully thought out celebration of the Mr. and Mrs.! I was incredibly privileged to be a part of their day and witness their love centered on Christ. Their families were welcoming and so hospitable! What a fun a joyous day. Take a look below – you won’t want to miss this one!
Come see some other amazing couples!

Laced with the character of soft baby’s breath, burlap, twine and all things antique, Kyle and Autumn shared their wedding vows under the soft lit Barnacopia lights. Everything about their day was hospitable at it’s best with candy, popcorn, and refreshments available prior to the reception, pool, ping-pong, a movie, chess, and lots of rustic antique displays for viewing!
The weather was unpredictable with the spitting of rain, wind and clouds throughout most of the daytime. Evening came around and allowed our wedding party with the bride and groom to venture out for some beautiful nature backdrops. We used the red barn to block the wind and then headed towards the sunlit willow tree with the couple.
While I loved their details, meeting their wonderful families, and enjoying the celebration, my favorite part of the day was indeed the ceremony and sharing of their vows. Watching how these two interacted that day in honoring and glorifying God was a blessing. I am so excited to watch them grow in their faith and roles as husband and wife with God at their center. A big thank you to these two for letting me take part in their special day!

In less than one week we will be celebrating the marriage of Mr. & Mrs. Kyle and Autumn Baltierra. We were finally blessed with nicer spring weather and while nature wasn’t quite in bloom yet we still had a great time!
One thing to know about these two is that they LOVE date nights at the movie theater! This made our first stop the Lindo Theatre where we had a bit of fun and of course some great popcorn.
Close to the theatre is one of my favorite stops and often a forgotten beauty of Freeport, IL – the historic Raleigh Company. These brick buildings offer an array of rustic backdrops, remnants of brick pavement, train tracks, and river nearby.
Our last stop was the popular Krape Park which gave us a beautifully lit water backdrop with rock walls and golden light. I am excited to start this wedding season with a spring celebration for Autumn & Kyle! Wishing them all the best.

It was the golden hour. Sunlit evergreens covered with patches of snow in the crisp cool air. Deer starting to peer out from the woods. The sound of quiet woods with occasional squirrels chattering and birds chirping. This is my place of peace! The countryside will always have my heart and true home.
I was so glad that Kiley & Josh chose Dollinger Christmas Tree Farm for their engagment session. This beauty is set in the heart of Lake Carroll, IL amidst the forest and hills that Northwest Illinois has to offer. Kiley and Josh brought their sweet girl who I just ADORE! Brown eyes, red hair and such innocence! Kiley and Josh are just as sweet with an exciting wedding day celebration coming this July! Keep scrolling to see one of my favorite sessions from 2018 – the colors are stunning and so is the couple! ❤
